RCS is scheduled to be available from December 16, 2025 onwards through KDDI Corporation and Okinawa Cellular Telephone Company (hereinafter referred to as KDDI).
RCS is an evolved version of SMS, a smartphone service that allows you to safely and securely exchange photos, stamps, and messages using your phone number.
It's available for free on iPhone or Android (Google Messages).
*The provider of RCS currently available in Google Messages will gradually change from Jibe Mobile (a wholly owned subsidiary of Google) to KDDI from January 2026.
*Usage is free, but data communication charges will be incurred separately.
Please check the following before using the service.
・KDDI and Jibe Mobile will use the following information for the purposes of providing, operating (including preventing nuisance and fraudulent activities), and improving the Service.
-User information/transmission information (telephone number, mobile phone company, date and time, message information, etc.)
Please note that we will not view the content of any messages.
・Customers who do not use this service must complete the procedure using the link below.
If you do not complete the procedure by December 15, 2025, we will assume that you have agreed to the use of this service.
You can continue to complete the procedure at any time on the KDDI website.
