Osaka Convention & Tourism Bureau (Osaka Prefecture, Chuo-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, Chairman: Mizohata Hiroshi, hereinafter referred to as "Osaka Convention & Tourism Bureau"), a public interest incorporated foundation, and KDDI Corporation (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Matsuda Hiromichi, hereinafter referred to as "KDDI") will expand the "Osaka eSIM" lineup from June 25, 2025.
For domestic residents, we will start offering "1GB (7 days)" as a first-time limited Topping.
Additionally, for foreign visitors to Japan, we will begin offering plans of 30GB (30 days) and 15GB (15 days) for validity stays.

Osaka eSIM is a mobile communications service provided by the Osaka Convention & Tourism Bureau in cooperation with the KDDI Group. By utilizing the "povo SDK," which allows you to incorporate povo 's communications services into your own services, you can enjoy au quality high-speed, stable networks.
Customers can easily purchase plans online using the "Topping" system, which allows them to flexibly customize their communication plans based on the amount of data they need and validity, and the plans can be used in as little as three minutes (Note 2).
To commemorate the launch of Osaka eSIM service, we will be running the "Osaka eSIM Sign-Up Campaign" where you can receive "Unlimited data (24 hours)" [1].

The Osaka Convention & Tourism Bureau has been providing free public Wi-Fi, "Osaka Free Wi-Fi (OFW)," since January 2014, and it has been used by many tourists visiting Osaka, including foreign tourists.
Furthermore, starting in October 2024, with the cooperation of Wire and Wireless Co., Ltd., Osaka Free Wi-Fi will provide "Osaka Free Wi-Fi OpenRoaming," which is compatible with "OpenRoaming" [3], an international standard authentication system that is being increasingly adopted in Europe, the United States, and Japan, with the aim of expanding and improving the convenience of OFWs.
In addition to OFW, which is a spot service, we also offer "Osaka eSIM," which has wide area coverage and can be used easily while on the move. With many tourists expected to visit Osaka with the Osaka-Kansai Expo, we will work to improve the satisfaction of tourists visiting Osaka by providing a comfortable and seamless communications environment.
povo SDK is an open communication service that allows you to incorporate povo 's communications into your own services and provide original plans. With the spread of subscription services such as video/music, electronic tickets, and smartphone payments, communications are becoming more and more necessary in every aspect of our daily lives.
It is possible to provide original Topping that can only be purchased here, such as unlimited data for specific services. The number of days/data volume can also be flexibly customized, allowing you to create the optimal Topping for customers using your company's services.
