From July 1, 2025, KDDI will begin offering povo2.0 Japan SIM, which can be used for data purchases by foreign visitors to Japan, at approximately 14,600 LAWSON stores (*1) nationwide.
Foreign visitors to Japan can choose the mobile communication plan that best suits their individual needs from four types of communication capacity and validity: "3GB (7 days)", "10GB (30 days)", "25GB (30 days)" and "Unlimited data (7 days) (Note 2)". The service can be purchased in cash at the store's cash register, and by using an eSIM (embedded SIM) built into the handset, the online activation procedure can be completed in as little as 3 minutes (*3).

Bring povo2.0 Japan SIM card to the cash register at LAWSON store and tell the staff which plan you want. After payment (cash only), use the QR code on the back of povo2.0 Japan SIM card to access the dedicated page and enter the PIN code printed on povo2.0 Japan SIM card to add data.
