KDDI Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Koji Matsuda; hereinafter "KDDI"), KDDI Digital Life Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Tatsuya Hamada; hereinafter "KDDI Digital Life"), and East Japan Railway Company (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Yoichi Kise; hereinafter "JR East") will launch a campaign (hereinafter "this campaign") from September 18, 2026, offering data from KDDI's online-only plan (Note 1) "povo2.0" as a gift, with the aim of making travel on the Shinkansen more comfortable.
For passengers who board a Shinkansen using a Shinkansen e-ticket service booked through "Ekinet," JR East's internet ticket reservation service, the "Touch Trigger" feature will automatically apply the "Unlimited data (3 hours)" (Note 2) for povo2.0 free of charge.
During validity, this offer will be applied every time you book and use a Shinkansen e-ticket service product through "Ekinet," with no limit on the number of times you can use it. It supports a comfortable travel experience, allowing you to watch videos or use the internet without worrying about data usage while on the Shinkansen.

① You can reserve Shinkansen e-ticket service products departing from stations within the JR East area using "Ekinet," the internet ticket reservation service provided by JR East . *Reservations can be made from 10:00 AM one month prior to the date of travel. *With Ekinet advance reservations, you can apply in advance from 2:00 PM one week before the release date until 9:54 AM one month prior to the date of travel. However, actual seat arrangements are made from 10:00 AM one month prior to the date of travel, so we cannot guarantee that seats will be available.
② Link your Suica ID associated with your Shinkansen e-ticket service product with your povo2.0 account using the povo2.0 app . *Linking is required at least 20 minutes before boarding the Shinkansen. *Linking via the app will be available from August 18th. *Only one Suica ID can be linked to one povo account.
③ Use the Suica or Mobile Suica linked to the Shinkansen e-ticket service product you reserved to pass through the Shinkansen ticket gate and board a Shinkansen departing within the JR East Japan area . *A valid povo2.0 account at the time of passing through the ticket gate must be linked to the Suica ID associated with the Shinkansen e-ticket service product. *It takes approximately 5 to 10 minutes from passing through the ticket gate until the data is applied.
④ "Unlimited data (3 hours)" will be automatically applied to your povo account . *Using your smartphone while walking is dangerous. Please stop and use your smartphone in a safe place.
■ About "Touch Trigger"
This service, provided by JR East, utilizes the timing of Suica card touches in real time. It detects the moment of entry and exit from ticket gates in real time, enabling the provision of services to customers using stations and railways at the moment of touch.

■ Integration of “Welcome Suica Mobile” and “Japan SIM”
povo Starting in December 2025, KDDI will partner with JR East’s “Welcome Suica Mobile” to offer users of “Japan SIM”—a service provided to international travelers visiting Japan—0.5GB(24 hours) of free smartphone data at all 83 participating stations, including Shinkansen and Yamanote Line stations.

This service, provided by JR East, allows you to book JR train tickets, JR tours, and station rental cars online. You can purchase train tickets and express train tickets for all JR lines nationwide. You can also reserve, change, and purchase reserved seats for Shinkansen and express trains online. This service allows you to easily book tickets anytime, anywhere, providing convenient and seamless rail travel.

These tickets are sold exclusively through "Ekinet," and by linking your existing transportation IC card (including mobile services such as Mobile Suica) to your reservation, you can board the Shinkansen without a physical ticket. This is an online-only service provided by KDDI. It can be used with a monthly basic fees of 0 yen (Note 3). Because povo2.0 utilizes the reliable au network, you can connect to au 's high-speed 5G network. We offer various options, including advantageous bundle purchases, monthly plans, and short-term unlimited usage, allowing you to purchase only the data you need, when you need it, and use it efficiently to suit your lifestyle.
We also offer collaborative Topping where you can purchase other companies' products and povo data together at a discounted price.
