Starting in mid-August 2025, KDDI and Okinawa Cellular will introduce the identity authentication feature "3D Secure" when purchasing some povo2.0 Topping.
"3D Secure" is a security feature to prevent fraudulent use in online transactions. When purchasing eligible Topping, your identity will be verified using the authentication method set by your credit card company, such as entering a "one-time password" sent to the email address or phone number registered with your credit card company. This prevents fraudulent use such as "impersonation" by third parties, allowing you to use the service with greater peace of mind.

*If you are using version 1.55.0 or below, a pop-up will appear when you purchase eligible Topping, instructing you to update the povo2.0 app.

If you see the screen below, you will need to register your credit card name when purchasing the applicable Topping.
*The method for issuing and registering a 3D Secure (personal authentication) password will differ depending on the credit card issuer you use. For details, please register on your credit card issuer's member site or contact them directly.
