KDDI Corporation (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Hiroji Matsuda; hereinafter "KDDI") and East Japan Railway Company (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yoichi Kimura; hereinafter "JR East") will offer "povo Data Oasis" Limited offer from December 11, 2025, at designated JR East stations to customers using "Japan SIM," an eSIM service for foreign visitors to Japan.
"povo Data Oasis" is a program that allows anyone who accesses a special website from their smartphone in a specific location to receive free data that can be used with povo2.0. Japan SIM users will receive 0.5GB of data per day and up to 5GB per month (10 times in total) at designated JR East stations.
Japan SIM can also be purchased through a dedicated link in the "Welcome Suica Mobile" app (hereinafter referred to as the "App") provided by JR East for foreign visitors to Japan. Through the provision of this service, we strive to ensure that each and every customer visiting Japan can enjoy a comfortable and fulfilling stay experience.
